Origination
The nephew of Jazz Legend Max Roach and Vice President of Production for Destination Platinum, Keith Dorsette has long been utilizing music as a vehicle of inspiration. As an international recording artist (saxophonist), he was affectionately featured on front pages, radio airwaves, and television screens for years delivering the message that music can lift the masses through struggle. He was numerously decorated as a United States Marine and credited for lifting morale during time of war … with music. With media momentum and a nation behind him … Freedom Project was born.

The Freedom Project Team (FPT)
- Is a conglomerate of experienced persons who are engulfed within the field(s) of entertainment. - They are artists, producers, writers, actors, athletes, and executives who are living their dream and are at the top of their field.

- Of working in all the media industries (music, film, television, etc) FPT has developed significant working relationships with individuals and corporations. - All whom have pledged their support to contribute their talents and likeness to Freedom Project Endeavors.

- Collectively FP can deliver a promotional support campaign to in excess of 30 million persons over a three month span.
Macro:
To Bring Global Harmony, One Community, One Person, At A Time.
Micro:
Support and facilitate youth and education programs via the youth oriented vehicles of Music and Fitness.
In regards to the Caribbean … to increase the commodity value of the local music and culture by attaching Caribbean artists to mainstream projects and earmarking a significant percentage of earnings for youth and education programs where the artist is based.
Significant amounts of proceeds (15% – 33% ) generated by FP endeavors, are allocated to but not limited to Scholarships, School Activity Budgets, and other Community Development projects such as the rehabilitation of athletic facilities and the development of artistic programs.
Rehabilitate
To rehabilitate and or make as many improvements as possible to an athletic facility in a community where the YOUTH population are at RISK.
Maintain
On site staff that maintains the facility.
Coordinate
On site staff that coordinates programs such as fitness tournaments that promote competition and facilitate relationships within the community.
Educate
On site staff that schedules workshops that teach, promote and reiterate the benefits of fitness and participation in team sports, etc.
Create Opportunity
Employment... a minimum of FOUR JOBS are created per facility.
In regards to the youth...
Within the competitive tournaments, during the final rounds, we invite down athletic directors from universities internationally whom are looking to recruit talent for their schools. This of course translates to educational scholarships for talented youth.
Community...
The facility itself becomes a self sustaining fixture that promotes unity and a progressive healthy lifestyle. In addition to, 100% of the income generated by heavily promoted tournaments that are being held at the facility remain right there in that facility.
For Example:
The facility may host inter community basketball games, community vs. community games, business vs. business games, etc. Attendees may pay $2 USD for entrance during a regular game, $5 USD for a final game and $10 USD for a championship game. During the course of that campaign, the facility may host 1,000 persons that pay an average of $3 USD. If the facility conducts a few of these annually, patron expenditures for entry and concessions will contribute towards to general maintenance and operations of the facility. The bigger picture of course is the facility acting as a conduit of unity and inspiration for youth to channel their energy productively.
Infusion Of Special Events
A Concert may be promoted simultaneously with an athletic tournament, which places a high profile endorsee (the performing artist) campaigning the importance of healthy living and teamwork within the community. The youth are more likely to embrace and implement into their lives a message reinforced by a platinum status artist than those who are sending a similar message within their immediate daily circle.
Upon the arrival of the performing artist, local press mediums are more inclined to join in conference and discuss the direct impact of improved athletic facilities within the community and the long term benefits that accompany the task. On a general plane, when a facility is in dire need of repair, it has come to that state through years of neglect. If it’s state were a priority to the local governance, there would be no need for FP contributions. The event (concert) is the vehicle used to generate the revenue to support the mission (the rehab of the facility). The promotion now acts as a conduit to bring awareness to the mission and all it encompasses.
During a typical press conference, star power can engage politics into doing what politics should be doing in the first place (looking after the people’s interests). The chances are morel likely for local governance (ministries) to jump on the dialogue bandwagon when star power is involved. And they are more inclined to give consideration in taking on other facilities in need of improvements.
Freedom Project can encourage, inspire and manifest improvements using the vehicles of music and fitness. This formula has been proven effective, and can continue to deliver positive RESULTS. One Community, One Person At A Time.
