[edit] Citing stuff
This is a table with blank citation thingies that I use. Feel free to use them, too.
Citing newspapers | <ref>{{cite news |first= |last= |authorlink= |coauthors= |title= |url= |work= |publisher= |date= |accessdate=2008-01-23 }}</ref> |

[edit] The future of Wikipedia
I just saw someone mention about a page that "the inmates are running the prison here." Fortunately it was just one page. But here is my somewhat-grim prediction of the future.
Note: This section is a prediction about the future that cannot be confirmed or denied until the future. As with all soothsaying, it should be considered humor, or "for entertainment purposes only."
[edit] Page Quality
2008: Pages will get worse and worse, with no one to clean them up. Wikipedians will be the defending zealots, rather than people actually adding content.
[edit] Lawsuits
2008: Wikipedia administrators are quickly spiraling out of control, and Wikipedia will lose some really high-profile lawsuits because of these out-of-control admins. The public opinion will be that Wikipedia should have lost the lawsuits
[edit] Donations
2009: Because of the lawsuits, people will stop donating to Wikipedia as a charity.
[edit] Religion
2010: Wikipedia is very close to a religion right now. The only difference is that is actually does something. In a few years, Wikipedia will stop doing something, because it will reach a critical mass. At that time, all that will be left is the religion. Like all religions, there will be devout, good members and there will be murderous zealots. Eventually, a fringe group of Wikipedians will take the law into their own hands, and it always ends up bad when religious members do that.
[edit] Reverted to 2008 and frozen
2010: Wikipedia will end up getting so bad, as far as page quality, that the only way to begin recovering will be to revert back to a stable version of Wikipedia, and freeze it for a while, so no one can edit while people figure out what to do.
[edit] Bought by Microsoft
2011: I've been trying to think of a future outcome other than that Wikipedia will eventually be bought by Microsoft. I can't think of one.
[edit] Solution
I have the solution to this problem. However, only Jimmy Wales can solve it. I'll tell him what it is when he asks me personally.
