[edit] Enormous template

This template [1] is just too big. I have trimmed it thusly:

  • Remove "Corporate Management Roster". None of these people are notable enough for their own articles. See Wikipedia:Notability.
  • Remove web links. Templates are not the place to put a bunch of links. Most of them are just links to the newspaper sites (these should go in the articles about the individual papers).
  • Remove the footnotes (which take up as much space as the actual content of the template). Again, these aren't really appropriate for templates.
  • Remove all the "Unknown at this time" stuff.

The result is a template that is much more compact [2] --JW1805 (Talk) 05:14, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

I restored the former TV setup with the division by network rather than the traffic jam that was in place. I have nicked away the cable-only CW's being listed alongside the subchannel stations given that it causes a serious mess and that, for the most part, both are identical. The other downside is the saga of selling WLNE plus that the FCC is holding up the closing on WCWN, when both are complete the footnote section will look considerably neater.Scrabbleship 15:10, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
