[edit] Image link removed

I have removed the link to Image:Pomone 1804.png since I believe it is obvious to the informed observer that it shows the wrong ship.

I know what it says at University of Washington Libraries [1], but I think this must be in error for two reasons: 1) HMS Ambuscade (formerly Pomone) was broken up in 1812 [2]. 2) The picture shows a ship clearly built after 1815 (based on bow shape, quarter davits, stern shape, etc). If anything, this may be a picture of Ambuscade (later Amphion), the RN's first screw frigate, which was launched in 1846 and decommissioned in 1862.Shem (talk) 22:11, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
