[edit] Dissolution in 1947? In all territorial forms Prussia ceased to exist in 1945
I do not understand why this shows the Prussian state existing until 1947. In 1934, all the states in Germany were de facto dissolved into "gaus". Even if in official terms the state existed after 1934, Prussia was was all but dissolved on paper in 1945 with the loss of East Prussia, West Prussia, Silesia, eastern Pommeren and Posen/Wartheland to the Soviet east bloc.
