I'm not 100% clear on how the whole 'references and sources' thing works. Sadly, the project looks dead, but the following Linux Gaming sites have pages talking about FreeOrion:

- I don't know what the project looks like, but I don't think it is dead. As of writing this, the last SVN commit was made just two days ago. If you look at the SF.net statistics page for the project you will also see that the trackers (bugs, feature requests, etc.) are active. Granted, the pace seem somewhat slow but that doesn't mean dead. Please note that I am not affiliated with the project in any way; I am not even a "fan." I'm just stating (or at least trying to) the facts. --analoguedragon 17:16, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
