[edit] Should be able to resolve copyright problem
Any reason not to just base the article on http://freedos-32.sourceforge.net/showdoc.php?page=overview (which expressly grants permission to use it under the GNU Free Documentation License 1.2)? Lchiarav 04:51, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- I am the author of the FreeDOS-32 web site and copyright holder of the foresaid article. I think there's nothing wrong to use the foresaid article on Wikipedia, in fact I've choosen the GNU GDL for it, but I've not put it in Wikipedia before because of possible vanity issues. Feel free to use it for Wikipedia if you find appropriate. However, the person who submitted the article currently available in Wikipedia is an active FreeDOS-32 developer, hence nothing wrong with it as far as I'm concerned. Thus, I'm removing the "possible copyright violation" warning. SalvoIsaja 18:13, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] FreeDOS-32 in alpha stage, not very much info to put on page anyways
If FreeDOS-32 is in the alpha stage, and is still pretty new, why should it say to expand the article? Linuxguy716 (talk) 21:41, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's true, especially since it's under heavy redesign. I'm removing the expand tag. Hope this is not considered "autobiography" ;) SalvoIsaja (talk) 09:07, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright concerns
While the top page of the article does not, the subpage with the full information includes a GFDL release, here. As GFDL requires full authorship credit, I have included a note properly supplying that on the article's page. This may also eliminate future "false alarms". --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:31, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
