[edit] Who wins
Erm...who wins? GeeJo (talk) 18:49, August 30, 2005 (UTC)
- Watch the movie. Or, better, watch the movie and then update this article. --Myles Long/cDc 18:57, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
- I was kind of hoping someone who has already watched the movie would update the synopsis of the article. It seems like kind of an important fact. GeeJo (talk) 21:17, August 30, 2005 (UTC)
- Well it's sort of ambigous, but I should have updated this page weeks ago. I'll be editiin eventually, once i have the time Sean 21:22, 30 August 2005 (UTC)

Freddy wins!:) oooooooh yea! by savannah and payton Greenhill
Freddy is a lot better than Jason! He'll be back!
No you man. Jason wins but its pretty clear he cuts his head. and walks with freddys head in his hand. Can u understand that? Jason is way stronger and also Friday series are way better than nightmare on elm steet series Jason is also the best slasher
"Welcome to my world bitch!" HahahahAhaHA.....
- If this is a serious debate, then I'll tell you that that bit's pretty clearly a dream :). They're both dead (as dead as they get, anyway..) but Jason is "less" desd, so to speak.--Sean|Black 20:59, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
are you forgetting that freddy winks to the camera at the end of the movie? meaning he has something up his sleeve NO! That just means Freddy's a douche! Freddy has no powers in the real world, so I guess Jason was dreaming about his head being cut off. Jason still won! Jason was walking around. A wink has even less life than a blink, and he laughed off screen. FREDDY IS THE LOSER! Aaron Pepin
[edit] Jason Reigns Supreme
Jason defeated Freddy its pretty clear and also Jason is millions time stronger and his movies Friday the 13th are much better than Nightmare on Elm street series
michael: oh..please stop with the critque bull critics are weak pussies that afraid to fight FREDDY VS. JASON the main man yehaaa... the main man .i dont care that kane hodder didn't return,. those who say the movie wasn't grander are a pussies that can't fight and think they are a smart critics. even if freddy's kill count was very lower he is an evil genius after all one kill worth a fatter credit. each freddy's kill is memorable with no exception. and jason won felt like anti-hero,the freddy's wink at the end is a homage for the 80's horror era
Ok well Jason can regenerate his cells which in turn means he cant really die, although Freddy is a "dream type" character the fact still remains that Jason is the true winner. Sure Freddy can still be alive without a body... but like come on, there is no use for just a head.
THEY BOTH WON SOMETHING!! There are many things to win in a movie like this; body count, coolest attack moves, etc. - Count Mall
[edit] Fighter Summary
- Wiki-star: I strongly believe that giving a brief summary of both Freddy and Jason's abilities and history will motivate or even educate the reader more. They will then be inclined to make their own decision on who can win, based on their observations. If anyone disagrees, or would to have their say, please do so! Thanks

- There are articles on both Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees that are linked from this article; that should be sufficient background on the characters. --Myles Long 17:20, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup
I just cleaned up the article and removed the cleanup notice. The article needs sources, but I think it's in a lot better shape than it was. There is no need to have every detail of the plot in the "Plot Summary" section. I also moved the information from the "Notes" section into other parts of the article and eliminated that section. Now to work on finding sources and more information on its critical reception. I think that the Halloween article should be used as a guideline. --Myles Long 15:56, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- No offense but this article still needs cleanup if you ask me. When I first read the article, I was a bit surprised at how poorly written it was, considering the popularity of the movie. But after reading this discussion page, I could sort of understand why...--Foot Dragoon 03:33, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Ending
There has been a lot of disagreement about the ending, so alow me to clear things up. There are two possibilities, 1) Its the real world and Jason won. 2)When Jason "dies" he is in a constant dream-state. If the ending is a dream then Jason is rotting at the bottom of crystal lake and Freddy is back in the dream world, meaning Freddy won. They purposely made it like that fans of one or the other wouldn't be disapointed.
this explains why freddy still hunts down the teens that dare to aknowledge him in the new AVATARpress comics and Blackflame novels
Comics and novels based on movies or TV shows aren't usually considered to be canon in the film universe and I doubt that Freddy vs Jason is an exception. User:Ash Loomis
[edit] Betting
The article stated that betting establishments took bets on who would win. Since the battle was indecisive what happened to the bets.--Dr.-B 09:25, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
If you have to pick one Jason is obviously the winner. Freddy got his ass kicked and he's just a disimbodied head now. Zombieninja101
well its no the first time thats been true for freddy —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.156.97.119 (talk) 21:56, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Soundtrack
Why is there soundtrack information here as there are already soundtrack pages seperately for this film? Andrzejbanas 03:16, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- If they exist elseware, just put a {{see|fill in article name}} in that section, or put a link in a "See also" section. Chances are no one realized it was created. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 03:24, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Freddy
Here could somebody please settle an argument is freddy, at the start of the film before he is killed by the parents, played by the bloke from judas priest
No, Robert Englund has always played Freddy, its not a member from Judas Priest where the hell did you hear that!?
Aye, that's Robert Englund, not Rob Halford. -- PowerslaveTC 01:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
i already told the guy that —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.161.88.8 (talk) 08:52, August 20, 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion about cast
I'm holding a discussion at Talk:A Nightmare on Elm Street (franchise)#Cast in regards to the cast list for the film series as a whole (and the comics if need be). BIGNOLE (Contact me) 02:14, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

OMG. This page isn't finnished yet!!! Gregory E. Miller (talk) 23:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)) This page is seriously messed up! in editing mode, it shows up, but in reading mode, it doesn't!!! Someone help! Gregory E. Miller (talk) 23:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)) THis page is so messed up! Something is wrong with it technically! Im getting Rlevse. Gregory E. Miller (talk) 23:39, 16 May 2008 (UTC))
I noticed your request, looked at it, and fixed it. You had a dangling ref, so most of the article was being processed as a footnote. There is a larger problem, though: the article is way too heavy on plot, and short on other information. I tagged the article as needing revision. You really need to look for reviews, impact, and, ideally, something a little bit more analytical. There has to be a review of "slasher films in modern society" or something of the sort somewhere that mentions this film.Kww (talk) 01:06, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
OMG. It was my stupid ref. Thank you for fixing it. I am just learning how to use refs. I guess I need a little more practice. Thank you so much. Gregory E. Miller (talk) 19:37, 17 May 2008 (UTC))Ok. What Im going to do now is just correct sentence errors. Gregory E. Miller (talk) 19:39, 17 May 2008 (UTC))
