The opening paragraph is factually incorrect: there were communists elected to the UK parliament, as well.--Edward 06:10, Oct 27, 2004 (UTC)

I'll be purchasing Ross Fitzgerald's biography of Paterson on December 28, so I may expand this entry shortly after that date. User Calibanu 11.40, 23 December 2006 Paterson was senior counsel for the plaintiff in the Australian Communist Party case
