[edit] Birthdate?

From a recent article, it stated that Cusick was 87 years old. Which would mean he was born in 1919/1918. Could anyone find a birthdate and/or age. I havent been able to find anything. - David Reject

Mm, if you've found that much, good on you. For a guy who had such an impact on Boston hockey, there's nothing about him on the Web. RGTraynor 17:12, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Not sure that it's correct about Fred being the original voice of the Patriots and working alongside Bob Starr and Gil Santos. As I remember it, the first voice of the Pats was Bob Gallagher, and the games were on WEEI, where Cusick was the sports director; he may have participated in the broadcasts as well. Eventually Cusick would do play-by-play for some Pats games, but eventually the team left WEEI and went to WBZ, where Starr and Santos picked up the games. By the time WBZ got the Bruins' broadcast rights in the early 1970s, Cusick returned to radio there -- he had been the producer and TV voice of the team -- but Starr and Santos were well established and very good. I would change the text but I cannot document this, at least not yet. 64.109.46.238 21:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I also remenber Bob Gallagher as the original voice of the Patriots but Gallagher left to be the voice of the Miami Dolphins and I can't remember who took over from him. It may have been Gil Santos on WBZ. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeff Sinclair (talk • contribs) 17:18, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
