What's the deal with the 'guerillas/insurgents' copyedit war? You get a -lot- more hits Google searching for "Shining Path guerillas" vs "Shining Path insurgents" so that seems to be the convention. --Hooperbloob 16:00, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

Guerrillas gave then some sort of political claim, wich is not a valid argument. Insurgent is much more appropiate and less strong than "Terrorist" (the real meaning of this organization). If you don't like, well, it is your POV in this case. Messhermit 22:31, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

What are you talking about? A guerrilla is someone who carries out guerrilla warfare. There is nothing about guerrilla warfare that ties it intrinsically to politics. Even if there was, Shining Path was political; they were communists. --Descendall 00:35, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
