Title caption of the BBC documentary 'The Fred Dibnah Story', episode 1 'Beginnings'. Filmed Circa 1978. Copyright BBC Television 1996. Capture of UKTV History televising of the episode broadcast 29th August, 2006.

Steeplejack Fred Dibnah can be seen scaling Briar mill chimney. In the background terraces of several streets close to the town centre of Shaw and Crompton can be seen. Along with the then Post Office, St Paul's Methodist Church and the British Telecom offices. In the distance the steeple to Crompton Cemetery’s chapel can also be seen.
