Fresno Police Department

The Fresno Police Department is responsible for policing the City of Fresno, California, in the United States. The Chief of Police as of Jan, 2008, is Jerry Dyer. The city experiences between 30 and 69 willful homicides in a typical year. In 2005, the department had 807 sworn personnel and 406 non-sworn personnel.
The Fresno Police Department has divided the city into six policing Districts: Southwest, Southeast, Central, Northeast, Northwest, and Traffic.
