Freshwater Senior Campus is a public, co-educational, senior high school and flagship for the Northern Beaches Secondary College. Although the Campus is technically located within the suburb of Curl Curl, its the school gives its location as Harbord.
The Campus was first used in Term 2 of the school year in 2003, when the students of the newly-formed campus moved from the previous Beacon Hill Technology High School site into the Campus, which was still in the final stages of construction.
Freshwater, or "Freshie" as it has become known, is filled with some 550 students spread through its two senior grades, with some 50 teachers in all subject areas.
The site began life as Manly Girls High School, as sister-school to Manly Boys High School, now Manly Selective Campus, another school within the college. It later became co-educational Freshwater High School during the 1990s until redevelopment in 2002.
