Freshwater Biological Association

The Freshwater Biological Association, often shortened to the FBA, is a British charitable organisation founded in 1929. Its stated aims are "to promote freshwater biology through scientific meetings, publications, research and authoritative advice."
The association publishes identification keys to freshwater organisms throughout the world, and also maintains an extensive library of freshwater science.
Membership is open to anyone who is interested in freshwater science and wishes to support the Association. The Association's main offices are in Far Sawrey, on the banks of Windermere in Cumbria.
