Téméraire was a 74-gun ship of the line of the French Navy, launched in 1749.
She was captured at the Battle of Lagos on 18 August 1759, by HMS Warspite, and was taken into the Royal Navy as the third rate HMS Temeraire.
Temeraire was sold out of the navy in 1784.
