Three French ships have born the name Astrolabe, after the instrument astrolabe and in honour of the preceding ships:
- The Astrolabe of Jean-François de Galaup, comte de La Pérouse (1781), a converted fluyt
- The Astrolabe of Jules Dumont d'Urville (1817), a converted horse carrying fluyt
- The Astrolabe (1986), an icebreaker built as Fort Resolution and renamed in 1988. [1]
