French ship Argonaute

At large number of ships of the French Navy have borne the name Argonaute in honour of the mythological navigators argonauts. Among them:
- The 74-gun ship of the line Argonaute (1794), which fought at the Battle of Trafalgar.
- The Argonaute, a French privateer vessel commanded by Emmanuel-Auguste de Cahideuc, Comte Dubois de la Motte.
- A torpedo boat built in 1892 and launched in 1893, decommissioned in 1910
- A submarine, built in 1927, launched in 1929, sunk by the HMS Achates on the 8 November 1942
- A submarine of the Aréthuse type (1958), now a museum.
