Freed.in

Freed.in is a Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) conference, held in New Delhi, India.
Formerly known as Freedel, the event promotes freedom in technology and personal privacy in software and other related fields. The underlying theme behind the event is to make free and open source software more visible to the world, and share its excitement with everybody [1]. It also aims to help nurture the community and enable networking within and outside it in a fun environment, as well as seed new projects.

This event is organized by the Delhi chapter of the India Linux Users Group, ILUG-Delhi, that has been conducting awareness and proof-of-concept events since 2004[2].

The event was renamed Freed.in in April 2007, and the 2007 incarnation is being held on September 28 and 29 at the School of Information Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru University Campus, New Delhi. The list of categories for invited papers are -
