The Free England Party is an English Nationalist political party, committed to the formation of a devolved English Parliament, English Independence from the United Kingdom and England's withdrawal from the European Union.

[edit] Formation
The Free England Party was founded in February 2008. The party was created largely as a result of what is claimed by the party to be the alleged mismanagement of England by the British government, following the devolution legislation.
[edit] Policies
The Free England Party was built on key aims which represent the founders' principles and beliefs. The main policies are the revival of a sovereign and independent nation state of England, the revival of an English Parliament with an elected upper and lower house, the introduction of fixed term four-year parliaments and a Bill of Rights. The party would wish to see England taken out of the European Union with immediate effect.
Other policies included the suspension of futher immigration into England, the regaining control of England's national borders, faster deportation of illegals and released foreign prisoners, as well as those who are considered dangerous by the security services, and failed asylum seekers; increased prison capacity, full term sentences served by convicted criminals; abolition of the parole board; mandatory sentences for offences such as burglary and drink driving; introduction of cumulative sentencing; introduction of Medicare scheme, to encourage people to have regular checks for things such as eyesight, dental, blood pressure, diabetes, smear tests, etc; creation of trade training colleges for students of 14 and upwards as well as the creation of sports colleges; and radical tax cuts.
The party seeks investment in projects to help England become a world leader in science and technology; in exploration of all renewable energy usages to reduce the nation's dependency on fossil fuels; in improved public transport schemes, including tram and light rail systems. The party advocates re-nationalisation of public transport where practicable to ensure public transport is run as a service not a business. The party wishes to see the strategic location of government projects to areas of high unemployment, such as the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Royal Mint and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

The party seek the re-establishment of an independent sovereign state of England, through the dissolution of the United Kingdom. England is the only constituent country of the United Kingdom and the only home nation of the British Isles currently lacking a devolved administrative government or assembly. A referendum was held in 2004 over whether to grant such a status to North East England, as the first of a plan to implement similar regional assemblies across the country; after the vote was defeated, similar plans in other regions were cancelled.
[edit] Youth group, Young Free England
Young Free England is the youth organisation of the Free England Party. The youth group is open to members of Free England between the ages of 15 and 24. It is headed by a National Management Council (NMC).
[edit] Campaigns and policies
Young Free England supports the efforts and principles set out by the Free England Party. However, each year, the NMC set out their Annual Plan, which outlines the new campaign programme consisting of new policies and important issues which affect the lives of young English people. Young Free England also intends to donate an amount of their membership profits to a particular charity each year.[citation needed] The choice of charity will be made by the serving chairman with support from the NMC.[citation needed]
[edit] National Management Council and General Meetings
Young Free England is made up of Branch Organisers, County Organisers and the National Management Council. The NMC is elected on a two year basis and is made up of members from all over England. There are six executive members: National Organiser, National Deputy Organiser, National Secretary, National Membership & Campaigns Officer, National Treasurer and National Media Relations.
There are also nine places for Regional Organisers, who represent: North East England, North West England, Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands, West Midlands, East Anglia, South West England, South East England and London. The NMC meet every month. The meetings are held at alternate counties to ensure the correct amount of consultation and communication between executive members and grassroots members.
The party holds a General Meeting each time it holds an NEC Meeting.[citation needed]

Young Free England operate under a written constitution which was written and voted on by the NMC. All members are expected to operate under the terms and conditions of the document. Members can propose changes to the consultation by making their views known to the National Secretary before the organisation's Annual General Meeting.
