"Free & Easy" is the 26th single released by Ayumi Hamasaki in Japan on April 24, 2002.
On the first day of release, "Free & Easy" entered the Japanese charts at #2 to Mai Kuraki's "Feel fine!", though the following day "Free & Easy" replaced "Feel fine!" at the top and continued to be #1 for the rest of the week. "Free & Easy" sold more than 281,090 copies in its first week and 486,520 copies in total. The single became the 15th best selling single of 2002.
"Free & Easy" saw a complete change in Ayumi Hamasaki's singles. Although released on the same CD format, from this single on, they contained significantly fewer remixes, each single having a maximum of seven tracks. ("No way to say" had seven tracks but all other singles after "Free & Easy" had a maximum of six). The single before "Free & Easy", "Daybreak" had ten tracks.
