FreeMarkets Center is a 511ft (156m) tall, International style skyscraper in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was completed in 1968 and has 39 floors. It is the 9th tallest building in the city. The 617,000 square foot building was designed by William Lescaze and Associates. In 1999 Aristech selected 53,000sq ft in the the ninth, tenth and eleventh floors for their new headquarters. In 2001 Education Management Corp agreed to lease 47,000 square feet in the 37th floor. The main tenants are Education Management Corp, Wilshire Associates, LaSalle Bank, RR Donnelley and Sons Financial, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Ariba, MetLife, Aristech, and Sun Oil Co. In 2004 Ariba bought Free Markets and the building's name was officly changed to One Oliver Plaza. Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP wiil rent 200,000 square feet in the building, benginning in 2010. It will be renamed again “K&L Gates Center". The building was bought for $30 million by Michigan based Kojaian Cos in 1998. The steel for the building was provided by Bethlehem Steel Co. The building also contains a 3 level, 300 car parking garage.
