Fredrik Oduya

Fredrik Oduya, born 1975, brother to Johnny Oduya, was an ice hockey player belonging to the San Jose Sharks and Calgary Flames organisations during the 90's. He was known as a good fighter and tough hitter, with the nicknames "Freddy Knuckles" and "The Swedish Nightmare". In 2000 he retired due to a back injury. He played again some years later in Sweden and Great Britain, before retiring again in 2007.

The Oduya brothers have a Swedish mother and their late father was from Kenya, belonging to the ethnic group of Luo.
