Frederika Louisa of Hesse-Darmstadt

Frederika Louisa of Hesse-Darmstadt (October 16, 1751 – February 25, 1805) was Queen consort of the Kingdom of Prussia as the second wife of Frederick William II of Prussia.
She was the daughter of Ludwig IX, Landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt and Caroline of Zweibrücken and was born at Prenzlau.
She and Frederick were married July 14, 1769, immediately after his divorce from Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Lüneburg.
Although the king was frankly polygamous and had numerous mistresses, they had the following children:
- Frederick William III of Prussia (1770-1840)
- Christine
- Louis
- Wilhelmina, wife of William of Orange, afterwards King William I of the Netherlands.
- Henry
- Augusta, wife of William II, Elector of Hesse
- Charles
- William
The queen died in Berlin.
