[edit] Eurovision Song Contest
Before winning the Festivali i Këngës 45, he also won the 28th edition, along with Manjola Nallbani & Julia Ndoci. He performed "Balada e Gurit" (English translation: "Ballad of Stone") together with his wife, Aida Ndoci at the 45th festival. The song was re-titled "Hear My Plea" and translated into English for the Eurovision performance, which was only credited to Frederick.
[edit] Background
Frederik grew up in a family of artists from the northern Albanian city of Shkodra. His sister, Rita Ndoci was a professional comedian. Another sister, Julia Ndoci, started a career as a singer right after Frederik, but with less success. Despite his big success, he has had his share of big difficult times mostly caused from the Albanian communist regime of the time.
[edit] Career
This is not the first time Frederik, who can sing in six different languages, has won a competition. He won the Festival in December 1989 with the song called Toka e Diellit (Land Of The Sun). His long career includes successful movies, where he performed as an actor, starring in main and second roles.
