Frederik, Baron van Pallandt (May 4, 1932 - May 15, 1994), was best known as the male half of the popular 1960s singing duo, Nina & Frederik.
He and his first wife, Nina van Pallandt, had three children:
- Floris Nicolas Ali, Baron van Pallandt (1961-2006), a film writer, director and painter.
- Kirsa Eleonore Clara, Baroness van Pallandt (1963)
- Ana Maria Else, Baroness van Pallandt (1965)
They divorced in 1975.
In 1976, Frederik Van Pallandt married María Jesus de Los Rios y Coello of Portugal, with whom he had one child:
- Daniel Tilopa, Baron van Pallandt (1977).
Frederik van Pallandt settled in the Philippines in the 1990s. He joined a major Australian crime syndicate, for which he provided transportation for drug trafficking. In 1994, both he and María were shot dead. Their murderer is believed to be another member of the syndicate. [1]
