Frederick W. Elvidge (born November 4, 1911 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; died December 23, 1988 in Los Angeles, California), was an actor under the stage name of Ted Howard who portrayed "Perth the blacksmith" in the 1956 Moby Dick film directed by John Huston and starring Gregory Peck.
Elvidge was interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, in Glendale, California.
