Frederick C. Anderson (1843 – 1884) was a Private in the American Civil War serving in Company A of the 18th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
He was awarded the Medal of Honor on August 21, 1864 for his actions on September 6, 1864 at the Weldon Railroad in Virginia.
His official Medal of Honor citation reads:
Capture of battle flag of 27th South Carolina (C.S.A.) and the color bearer.
