Fred Wendorf is Henderson-Morrison Professor of Anthropology at Southern Methodist University. He received his Ph.D. in 1953 from Harvard University, and founded the anthropology department at SMU along with founding the Fort Burgwin Research Center in Taos,
Dr. Wendorf is a member of the United States National Academy of Sciences.
