Fred Tottey

Fred Tottey was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in Australia leading competition the New South Wales Rugby League(NSWRL).
A winger, Tottey played 80 matches for Eastern Suburbs club in the years 1930-37 befoe joinning the English club Halifax RLFC the following season.
A member of Easts great sides of the 1930's, Tottey won back to back premierships with club in 1935, 1936 and 1937, in those 3 seasons the club lost just one match.
In the 1935 season Tottey score 27 tries, he holds an amazing record in premiership history - scoring tries in 15 consecutive matches. The winger scored 73 tries in his time at the 'Tri_colours'
Tottey represented Sydney and NSW but never Australia. He was selected for the 1937/38 Kangaroo Tour but suffered a broken ankle while representing NSW and had to withdraw fom the tour. Tottey sailed with the 'Kangaroo tourist' to England where he joined Haifax FC.
