Fred R. Zimmerman

Fred R. Zimmerman (November 20, 1880 – December 14, 1954) was the 25th governor of Wisconsin, serving one term from 1927 to 1929. He was also Wisconsin Secretary of State from 1923 to 1927 and again from 1939 until his death while in office in 1954. His son Robert C. Zimmerman was Wisconsin Secretary of State from 1957 until his retirement in 1975. Fred Zimmerman was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and died there as well.[1]
