Fred McGinis (born November 19, 1876 in Hobart) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the VFL.
McGinis played with Melbourne prior to their inception to the VFL, making his debut for the club aged seventeen in 1894. A rover, he starred for Melbourne in their debut season in the VFL, finishing 1987 with the Champion of the Colony award. He was a premiership player with Melbourne in 1900 but vision difficulties two years later forced him out of the game and he returned to Tasmania.
