Fred Landeg

Fred Landeg is the Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) of the United Kingdom and for Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), a post which he was promoted to on 9 November 2007[1]
On 9 November 2007 DEFRA announced that Debby Reynolds had opted to take early retirement at age 55, and that Landeg, who was working as the Deputy CVO, would take over as acting CVO temporarily. On November 16, he was promoted to the role officially.[2]
