Fred Jackson (born February 20, 1981 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American football running back who currently plays for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Sioux City Bandits of the National Indoor Football League as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He played collegiately at Coe College.

Jackson played college football at Coe College, a Division III school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was named to five All-American teams in 2002, rushing for 1,702 yards and 29 touchdowns. Jackson was a two-time Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference MVP for the Kohawks.

Jackson played two seasons for the Sioux City Bandits in the National Indoor Football League (2004) and the United Indoor Football League (2005). He was named the 2005 UIF co-MVP in 2005 as he ran for 1,770 yards and 41 touchdowns.

Jackson was invited to the Buffalo Bills training camp and played in NFL Europa for the Rhein Fire.

Jackson made his first career start against the Washington Redskins.

In his first NFL start, Jackson rushed for 82 yards while catching 4 passes for 69 yards in a victory over the Washington Redskins.

On December 3rd, 2007 NFL.com's main page ran a story about Jackson as an up-and-comer.

On December 9th, 2007, in a victory over the Miami Dolphins, Jackson rushed for 115 yards with a long of 27 to top the 100 yard rushing mark for the first time in his NFL career. This game also marked the first time the Buffalo Bills had two players rush for 100+ yards in the same game since 1996 when Thurman Thomas and Darick Holmes accomplished the feat.
