Fred Enke

Fred A. Enke (July 12, 1897November 2, 1985) was a college men's basketball coach. The Rochester, Minnesota native coached two seasons at the University of Louisville (1923-1925) and 36 seasons at the University of Arizona (1925-1961), compiling a 522-344 (.603) record overall. Coach Enke also spent two seasons as head football coach at University of Louisville compiling an 8-8-1 record. Fred Enke was also the head football coach at the University of Arizona (1931) compiling a 3-5-1 record overall. His son Fred, Jr. played seven seasons in the NFL.
