Fred Cimato

Ferdinando Salvatore Cimato (a.k.a. Fred), (born 1988-06-26) is an American musician , best-known for playing bass guitar for pop-punk band Cute Is What We Aim For. Cimato is a self-taught musician who has demonstrated proficiency playing rhythm guitar and drums. He is also the drummer for another Buffalo, NY band, Ideaframe.

Fred was born in Buffalo, NY to Ferdinando and Christina Cimato. His passion for music was apparent at a young age, and he was able to perform harmonies on the guitar by the time he was 10 years old. It was about this time, that he hung out religiously in Guitar Center.

Prior to joining Cute Is What We Aim For, Fred played bass for Buffalo-based band New Hope along with his cousin Tom Falcone. Fred and Tom performed their first gig together at the Higher Grounds Coffee House, with Fred acting as tour manager, merchandising manager and booking agent.

In October 2007 Fred cimato was interviewed by musicscoop.net. When asked if he viewed his role in the band as permanent (after returing in early 2007 many believed it was simply a temporary role) he replied, "Definitely permanent. I had 7 months at home to finish up high school and after that I was like "wow I miss playing music". I was blessed enough to get that opportunity again." Fred Cimato interview on musicscoop.net

Mid-March 2008, all of Fred's information on the official Cute Is What We Aim For website was removed as well as the group's main picture with him in it. It is rumored that he left the band. His picture was in the AP magazine with All Time Low on the cover when interviewed for upcoming album. He has been replaced by Dave Melillo.
