Frederick "Fred" Chase Koch (born Quanah, Texas, September 23, 1900 - died Kansas City, November 1967) was an American businessman.

Fred Koch attended Rice University.

The businesses Fred Koch started and passed down to his family would come to be known as Koch Industries. Fred Koch formed the predecessor corporation in 1945. Prior to that he had been active in expanding the oil refining industry in the U.S.S.R., while that nation was allied with the United States during World War II. Koch was also a member of the John Birch Society in 1958.

Koch was also author of the book: "A Business Man Looks at Communism" (1961).

He was the father of Charles, Bill, David, and Frederick.
