Freaky Tiki
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Freaky Tiki" is the fourteenth sub-episode of Tom and Jerry Tales.
[edit] Episode Summary
This dynamic episode begins with Tom and Jerry living on a tropical island which is home to an active volcano. The volcano soon mesmerizes Tom and Jerry, causing them to go into the volcano where they meet PELE - the Goddess of Flame. The Goddess of Flame soon chases the two, but Jerry saves the day.
Written By Charles Schneider, who so desired that the Tikis be "done right," that he presented Jennifer Coyle, the episodes's storyboard artist, with Sven Kirsten's BOOK OF TIKI as a reference source. This explains the cartoons loving attention to Polynesian POP detailing. Also note the particularly stunning LAVA and flame animation.
