Yes it is true that many pages lack the recommended layout. What you can do is to add one of templates from Wikipedia:Template messages/Sources of articles, so if not you then somebody else can provide further information related to the article. On the "Alberto Santos-Dumont" page I added a footnote and a footnote "references" tag from the "Wikipedia:Citing sources" page. I hope I did it right. :P Would you mind checking? Thanks.
