User talk:Frank A

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, Frank A. Please write in complete sentences. Articles should have the name of the subject bolded (with three ' on either side of the word to bold). Also, note that "GM" links to a disambiguation page, as "GM" can also mean "General Motors". Please write out "Grandmaster" if that's what you want to link to. Frank A. I was just looking at the article on Barings Bank -- you seem to have edited it this spring to say that Leeson's disastrous trades were on the SIMEX. Are you sure? There's a new book out by Ben Mezrich, called Ugly Americans, about the subculture of US (Ivy League) expats in the Asian markets. It devotes a good deal of attention to the connections between some of these expats and Leeson. It indicates that the key trades in Leeson's downfall were in futures pegged to the Nikkei 225 index, run through the Osaka exchange. --Christofurio 15:35, Nov 15, 2004 (UTC)
