Talk:Franz Kneisel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The article fails to mention Kneisel's most famous pupil -- Sascha Jacobsen. After a brief but brilliant career as a solist, Sascha decided he did not like the travel that touring entailed. In 1926, he, too, joined the faculty of the Institute of Musical Art, which, in that year, had merged with the Juilliard. Sascha was also an incredible teacher and was beloved by all of his students. He also founded a string quartet, The Musical Art Quartet, which carried on the Kneisel tradition.
