I believe his official senate photo should be used. The current picture is blurry and not quite as official as other senators' photos.

People may wonder where I got the info on Lautenberg's accomplishment passing Case. I unforunatly don't have any link, but Harry Reid was talking about it on the Senate floor.1.21 jigwatts 16:28, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

With Rep. Lautenberg's age being such an apparent issue in the upcoming election, we should clear up his actual birthday. Was the man born in 1918, as is listed in the sidebar,(making him 90) or 1924, as is listed in the first paragraph of the article? --69.112.185.215 (talk) 02:02, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Lautenberg was appointed by the Governor to his first senate seat on 27 December 1982 to fill the term of thee previous Senator who resigned. He had already been elected to the Senate, so In essnece he just begam his term a week early. This seems to be something that is not entirely uncommon. Should it be listed that Lautenberg entered the Senate in December 1982 instead of January 1983??

[edit] Special bin Laden flight passenger manifest

Frank Lautenberg's Web site still advertises his effort to get a passenger manifest for the special chartered plane taking the bin Laden family out of the U.S. shortly after the September 11th attacks.[1] One of these passengers still listed on that site was an "Omar Awad bin Laden", brother of Abdallah Osama bin Laden (fully, Abdallah bin Osama bin Muhammad bin 'Awad bin Laden) (founder of WAMY) and nephew of Osama bin Laden. Recently there has been a spate of media attention to Omar Osama bin Laden, the son of Osama bin Laden and the brother of Abdallah the founder of WAMY. What I'm wondering is, did Omar Osama lie to the U.S. government, did the Administration lie to Lautenberg, or did Lautenberg lie to us about what his relationship to Osama really was? 70.15.116.59 (talk) 00:50, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

That can't be right. Rush Holt is a Democrat; why would he mount a primary challenge to a popular Senator from his own party? OK, just read the United States Senate election in New Jersey, 2008 page. Hadn't realized he was so vulnerable. Still, I think the mention of Holt is premature.
