Talk:Frank Davison

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I was skimming down the pages for deletion and clicked this one almost at random. Instead of assuming lack of notability, I looked the guy up. I confess to a prejudice here. Although I had never heard of either Davison or the French novelist whose work he is admired for translating before today, I do think of translators as great unsung heroes.

As far as I can tell in an hour online, Davison is noted mostly for this one translation. But, why delete the page? Pherhaps he contributed to human civilizatin only this one vry beautiful thing (here Itake the word of his admirers, readers of novels. I think that this one beautiful thing, this translation , is worthy of inclusion. Wikipedia is in posession of intinite space. Let us then admire this translation by leaving the page up. Perhaps others, more knowledgable than I, will add information. Thomas Babbington (talk) 15:47, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Thomas Babbington
