Talk:Franco-American (Campbell's)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
We need a more comprehensive and less regionally-informed set of articles on immigration of French-speaking people from Quebec (and Canada more generally) to the United States. Moreover, none of those articles should be found here, though clearly a disambiguation sentence will need to remain and point to some obvious and helpful article. -Acjelen 18:35, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Franco-American brand is alive and well
I'm not sure I'm doing this right, but I had to comment. I work in the shipping department of the Campbell's Soup factory in Sacramento, California. Campbell's has not completely eliminated the Franco-American brand name from its lineup. The brand no longer appears on SpaghettiOs or any similar product, but there is a line of gravies that are manufactured and sold under this name. I've seen them with my own eyes, and handled them with my own hands, and packed them up to be shipped out to our customers.
We also have a small line of condensed soups under the Franco-American name as well. As far as i can tell, the few varieties of soup we have under this name are essentially the same products as the corresponding products sold under the Campbell's brand.

[edit] Date problem
"SpaghettiO's, first sold 16 May 1965. " but the SpaghettiO's article says "SpaghettiO's, first introduced on 19 October 1965". Which is correct? -- ManekiNeko | Talk 21:44, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
