[edit] Trying himself?

This Times article tells a tale (no. 17 in the list) that in 1874 Cornish had to try himself for public drunkenness, found himself guilty, fined himself $5 with costs but then remitted the sentence on grounds of good behaviour. I don't know whether that one article is enough of a source, but it's amusing! 86.143.48.55 (talk) 14:09, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
