1.No free equivalent exists that would effectively identify the article's subject.
2.The image does not in any way limit the ability of the copyright owners to market or sell their product.
3.The image is only used once and is rendered in low resolution to avoid piracy.
4.The image has been published outside Wikipedia; see source above.
5.The image meets general Wikipedia content requirements and is encyclopedic.
6.The image meets Wikipedia's media-specific policy.
7.The image is used in the article wiki-linked in the section title.

9.The image is used in the article namespace.
10.The image has a brief description that identifies the image, notes the source, and provides attribution to the copyright holder.

|
|
Replaceable?: |
As a film poster, the image is not replaceable by free content; any other image that shows the images from the movie poster would also be copyrighted, and any version that is not true to the original would be inadequate for identification or commentary.

[edit] Rationale for use of screen shot on wikipedia in the article Jack Pierce
To show Chaney Jr. wearing his effective werewolf make-up as it appeared in the 1943 Universal film "Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman".
- The image of the character from the world reknown DVD Universal Studios movies, the Wolfman monster. The Wolfman became an icon of pop culture after the release of the original Universal Lon Chaney Jr.film because of this image of the actor with the make-up making the image significantly educational for readers not familiar with the acting career of Chaney Jr.
- It is of lower resolution than the original film (copies made from it will be of inferior quality).
- It represents a single frame from the film, comprising less than 1/20 of a second of the film's running time.
- No free or public domain images showing the actor in complete make-up exists from the film.
- It does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the film in any way, since it is only one of many images of the character in the film.
- It is being used for informational purposes only by a non-profit organisation.
