Frazier Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 2,348 at the 2000 census. Frazier Park is also used to describe the nearby communities of Pine Mountain Club (PMC), Pinon Pines, Lockwood Valley, Cuddy Valley, Los Padres Estates, and Lake of The Woods.
The city of Frazier Park was named by pioneer Harry McBain for nearby Frazier Mountain. It was established in 1925. The town is contained in Cuddy Canyon inside Los Padres National Forest. Frazier Park is located at (34.822242, -118.948251)[1]. The elevation in Frazier Park is 4,767 ft (1,453 m) Frazier Park is part of the Los Padres National Forest.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.9 square miles (12.6 km²). Mt. Pinos, the highest peak in the area at 8,831 ft (2,692 m), is a popular Southern California location for cross country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, backcountry snowboarding, astronomy and other recreation. This peak, and other 6,000 to 8,000 ft (2,400 m) mountains in the area, receive the most natural snow in Southern California.
The San Andreas fault runs through the region, turning southeast on the west side of Interstate 5, just southwest of the Frazier Park exit in what is known as the Big Bend of the San Andreas. Immediately to the east, the Garlock fault travels through Tejon Ranch and under Castaic/Kashtiq Lake.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 2,348 people, 922 households, and 601 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 481.9 people per square mile (186.2/km²). There were 1,203 housing units at an average density of 246.9/sq mi (95.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 87.52% White, 0.60% Black or African American, 1.45% Native American, 0.81% Asian, 0.38% Pacific Islander, 5.49% from other races, and 3.75% from two or more races. 12.44% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
