Franzensfeste (Fortezza) (Italian: Fortezza; German: Franzensfeste) is a village in Northern Italy, in the Province of Bolzano-Bozen. The village is famous for its large fort.
In the summer of 2008 the fortress of Franzenfeste/Fortezza will be opened to the public for the first time. It will become one of the locations of Manifesta 7, the European Biennial of Contemporary art.
