Franz Blei

Franz Blei (1871-1942) was an essayist, playwright and translator from Vienna. He translated into German work by Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde and Molière among others. From 1908 to 1910 he edited the journal Hyperion, which was the first to publish work by a young Franz Kafka.
