Frantzman

The Frantzman family ran Little Lyford Pond Lodge(Little Lyford Pond Camps) from 1977 to 1987. They engaged in the production of beer, maple syrup and gardening. They rented out 13 cabins to visitors. Hundreds of miles of trails were maintained and the two neighbroing ponds were used for activities.
Leo Frantzman, the patriarch of the family was the son of immigrants from Odessa in Ukraine, and he was employed by W. R. Grace and Company where he was a Vice-President. He was influential in real estate development in West Paterson, New Jersey through his investment in Levco and Frantzman and Associates. He was named by mayor Rudy Giuliani as the honorary mayor of 201 E. 77th street, New York prior to his death.
His funeral Service was held Sunday, 11:30 AM, November 30 at Park Avenue Synagogue, 87 St. and Madison Ave. Interment was done at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Queens.

In 1981 he contributed to the campaign of Bill Bradley, In 1989 he contributed to Andrew Stein's campaign for U.S Congress. In 1995 he contributed to Alfonse D'Amato's campaign for Senate andi n 1996 he contributed to the Congressional campaign of Jeffrey Livingston. His Grandson, Seth J. Frantzman, continued this legacy as President of a College Republican group at the University of Arizona, was a precinct committeeman in Tucson, Arizona, a columnist for the Tucson Weekly, and worked for both Congressman Jim Kolbe and on George W. Bush's 2000 Arizona campaign.
